Just a 'tip' for those who have not tried Spiral blades or are considering trying them...
I just put together a stack of FIVE pieces of 1/8" BB plywood for a production order. This is the 'thickest' bundle I have ever cut using the FD New Spiral 2/0.
IF you decide to go this route EVER...make darn sure you keep a close feel on your blade and the way it cuts!
Normally I will cut stacks of two or three at a time. With the 5/8" stack I am going through blades much more quickly. (duh!) I couldn't hardly believe how fast they dull down cutting that thickness.

do you really need to use #2/0 ? I bet that takes more blades than wood pieces.
-
Yep! Sure do!
In order to make the fine detail cuts and make the portrait look 'right' I could even use one smaller if it were available.

Hey GB, I just about always stack cut three 1/4" pieces of plywood. I tried the FD New spiral blades and they just won't work very well at that thickness because they are not aggresive enough. If you will use the regular FD 2/0 spiral blade you will have better luck. I use the regular blades and they last about 30 minutes cutting that thick. I know some people on here say you are not suppose to stack cut that thick, but I do it all the time and it works for me.
