Took a stand I had and did major surgery and made a stand so I can SIT 'n' Saw!
The top is a piece of 3/4" ply from 1954!
Part of a chest my dad made for storage and finally doing more good in many other projects!
True 3/4" and hard as a rock-only 3 plies!

Nice looking stand GB. Hope it doesn't roll around while your sawing!

Not a problem...
existing casters are unidirectional on the back and swivel on the front and the front ones LOCK!
Next time I go to HF will get some smaller ones that are the same only rubber. These are heavy duty hard plastic and will slide on the smooth floor if pushed hard enough.
Sure is nice to not have my sweaty forearms resting on the saw table causing me to have to keep cleaning and re-waxing the table top!
Also much better on this ol' back!

Wow that's really heavy duty looking. Bet you get no shaking in that.

It was originally a stand for a drill press and a very heavy duty bench grinder so it had to be 'strong'.
The only 'shimmy' I get is when I run the saw 'wide-open' which is almost never!
My daddy taught me to build things to last...
