I can use some help with this. He's to be honored at a convention being held in July.
I've able to get a pattern for man and dummy which I like, but having trouble with dog. Care to do the entire pix, go ahead, might be better than mine or just the dog.
Thanks in advance.

How about Edgar Bergen and Charley McCarthy?

Thats it Gabby it was driing me nuts who it was....
-
Nope, it's not Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy
There below.
It's ventriloquist, Jimmy Nelson, Danny O'Day and Farfel.
Made famous during 50's-60's with a commerical.
N-E-S-T-L-E-S
Nestles makes the very best.

What threw me AND the Boss off was the Dummy, put a top hat and monacle on the other one and I dare you to know the difference. The puppeteers are both too YOUNG in their photos and didn't recognize either one. I guess I'm NOT older than dirt just yet! ;D ;D

Ron,
thank you. Very much helpful.
Was getting something similar. Hoping to avoid so many cuts in the dog, but.........

Here's show and tell.
I made a 8.5" x 11" to start, final project will be 11" x 14"
I made a few changes, and will make some slight adjustment before I do the final project.
Suggestions more than welcome. Been said before, great people here.
Thanks

The dog's better but could still use a little more clean up especially the head. Don't ask me how to do it! LOL
The rest looks great.

Pretty happy with the head but, I would like the dog's right eye more defined. Here's a few samples.
I stacked cut 2 portraits. The one "posted" was the bottom one, and I didn't notice that a piece of dummy's mouth had broke off. Easily fixed today.
-
Woody....Your right about the right eye and hard to find, would this one help?
Ron
-
Ron,
yes, it does help. Give me the guidance I need. Look for show and tell, next week.
Thanks again.

Showed my work to a fellow ventriloquist. He liked the cut, but felt Farel was too busy compared to the clean look of Jimmy & Danny. Said I should forget about trying to simulate the fur and do an outline of the dog's features. Did a very fast rework of his suggestion (graphic tablet on other computer, so done with a mouse) just to get an idea of what it would look like.
Thoughts?

MUCH BETTER!
Too busy is right, really took your attention away from the rest of it.

Thanks Gabby,
that's why is ALWAYS good to get an opinion from outside the circle. But I wouldn't have got to this point, without the fine assistance I received here.
More to come.
