Title: Blade clamp upgrades
Post by: bobbyky73 on June 17, 2011, 01:31:10 am
I just bought a 16" Craftsman scroll saw and have to say I'm happy with it but the only drawback is the blade clamps. Is there a upgrade to these clamps to make it easier and faster to change the blades? I would really like some kind of toolless blade change if possible.

I also have a 16" craftsman.  The lower blade clamp I am not sure of, however the upper blade clamp is simple.  Just trade the blade clamp screw with the hold down foot screw.

@ Bobbyky73
Good luck with the CM scroll saw I went through 3 of them when I gave up on owning mine I hope you don't have any problems but mine however would go for 2 or 3 months and then quit Ifound out the wiring to the Veriable speed switch kept breaking so if it dies take it back that is more then likely the problem with it.

As I said good luck with it I hope you have it for many years to come.
