I'm sitting here watching the NASCAR race when the phone rings. It's the owner of the Woodcraft store. I have allot of items on display at the store to promote my scroll saw classes. He has a customer that wanted to buy the Einstein portrait I had on display. I said sure, Is fifty to much? He suggests it should go for more, but will let me know what the customer says. He calls back to tell me the customer said it was not enough and paid $70 for it! And I'm just sitting here!

Congrats, what a easy sale, It'd be nice if they could all be that way.
-
Way to go. :) :) :)

Congrats on the sale Dan. Great cutting too. I like the wood backer you used, what kind of wood did you use? I've always used black felt for a backer, but I think I like the darker wood backer better.

Hey Kim, The backer is 1/8" oak plywood with a red mahogany stain. The frame is red alder with BLO mix, and the hole thing gets a few coats of semi gloss spray lacquer.

Nice job Dan and congrats on the sale.

Way to go, Dan. Well done. It's always nice to have a surprise sale like that. I've had some too over the years. Maybe someone will see that portrait, and ask you to do something for them.

Hey congrats Dan! Nice to make a sale while sitting around and get more than you originally thought too. A sale is a sale but that was a good one.
