Title: Steves 3D Keychain
Post by: James R on April 24, 2011, 10:55:12 am
Steve,
I just watched your video on the 3D keychain of Nascar names. Nice job, question though
How are you using your pattern software to do this?

Thanks,
Jim

That is by far simpler than first expected:

If you have installed the Key Chain Maker, you also have a font called "mychain" on your computer. Steve delivers it with the Key Chain Maker. Also cool: check the font in your writing program, there are hearts (","), stars(";") and dog bone ends( "[" and "]") also included! *

So - go to MS PowerPoint, OpenOffice Draw (my favorite) or any drawing-program you like and use. Set up a text using the font - remember a dot(".") opens the chain and a slash("/") finishes it.

After creating 2 texts, you need to align them and to make them equal length. That's pretty much it.

regards
Torsten

Thanks for the tip.  I want to do a couple of personalized for my kids.

But a question.  Is there any copywrite or trademark issues doing a Tony Stewart with the number 14?

Don

PS  I don't plan on selling but what if you did?

Yes it is copywrited. You can make the for yourself but you cannot sell them.  ;)

Russ,        Can you give them away to friends and family.  I know you can not sell them.
