A while ago "Triple B" posted a picture of their cat they wanted help making a pattern from. Grandpa made a pattern, and I loved it. My mom loves cats so I decided to make it for mothers day.
The thread with the original picture and pattern is here http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=5391.0
Made with 1/8" baltic birch ply and a backer of ply stained "early american".
Thanks Triple B for having a cute cat, Granpa for making the awesome pattern and GreyBeard for the glass in the frame ;) What would I do with out all of you guys?!?!

Wow Katie I am sure she will love it great choice on the gift you can never go wrong with a Handmade gift

Very cool Katie! That is so cute!

Katie, I finished mine today and was going to post it tomorrow, now I don't have too! LOL When I cut mine I left the blanket out because I thought it wouldn't look right, well after seeing yours I guess I'm gonna have to pull it out of the frame and do some more cutting, because yours looks much better than mine. As for the cat, it's not mine, but it belonged to a very good friend of mine. She had it for about 10 years and it recently passed, so I thought this might help cheer her up a bit. Great job on it. And also a HUGE Thanks to Grandpa Paul, he simply is awesome!

Thanks Everybody!!!

You can almost hear the kitten purr !!!

Very Nice, Katie!
Next to "Southwest" style cuttings I think I enjoy the Cat/Kitten things the most. They always bring out the "OOOOH's and AAAH's" from everyone.
And glad I was able to contribute something toward such a special gift!

Bump, Set and Spike...all of you nailed it.
Great cutting Mrsn, it looks great. I really love how the people here work together and share. My son has been asking to find him a pattern of a cat so he can try his hand at a portrait. After he see's yours he'll definetly want to try it. I'll have to remind him that his will not turn out as nicely as yours though. Thanks for sharing.
@Bob, please still post your finished project. Its always fun to see the different styles people have.

Nice work Katie! That'll definitely be a hit!
-
Bob you really need to post yours as well.
cnlnc- I like cutting cats and things like that because when you miss the line a bit only you know. This one was fun because it has lots of swervy lines. Tell your son to try it out and make sure you show off his results.

that is great looking.

Here's mine, I've still gotta add the blanket in. I like it much better with the blanket showing.
-
I love it Bob!

Great job, Bob!

good job Bob thanks for posting
-
Great job Bob! Both of you did fantastic work!!
-
Bob-
I love your version! I think you did a great job.
-
Bob I love yours just the way it is. Why not leave it like it is and do another with the blanket ???
-
Marion, Ya know sometimes one just can't see the forest through the tree's! Thats a wonderful and really practical solution. I'm not sure why I didn't think of making another one with the blanket, I just didn't. But now I will and then I can compare them side by side and the figure out which one I like better. It's not a very hard pattern to cut anyway.
Thanks for the slap across the back of my head. ;)
