Title: EX21 Upper Arm Tension
Post by: ShadowB6 on April 19, 2011, 11:18:55 am
In going over my owners manual (AGAIN) for the EX21, I see that the upper lifting arm tension can be adjusted. Right now, mine is factory set and is ok to push up and bring down, but perhaps it could be tweaked to make it just that much (can you see my fingers showing a very small gap) easier to lift and set back down. Is this something I should be playing with or is it something better left alone?

Thanks; Mike

If you want to "tweak" it - it's your saw!  Just pay attention to how much you adjust it in case you want to put it back.  I loosened mine a bit.

Mine is tight too, but I don't use it much unless I am doing larger pieces.  I am kind of gun shy like Julie is to play around with it too much.  I think just a teeny, tiny adjustment wouldn't hurt though. :)

I have found that it has to be adjusted from time to time as it becomes loose and wont stay up, it is not hard to adjust but would be a lot easier if there was two of you
