I made these two projects over the weekend. I found bamboo cutting boards that have a lighter band on the ends, they make neat projects. The board is just under 1/2" thick.
Thanks

Very nice work! I need to find me some of those boards. Are they hard to cut?
-
not hard at all, they cut really well.
I have found them at HomeGoods and TJ-Max stores. Walmart also has them but they aren't the "cute" ones.
-
Very Cool Katie!

Those came out Awesome! Where did you get the second pattern, the one of the bus with the surfboard? I have to cut that one for my son.
Thanks for sharing. You are definetly a few levels above where I need to be.

Awesome Katie.

They look awesome, Thanks for posting. :)

You certainly have a creative eye. You look at objects in an artistic view by what they can be not the way that they are and that is true talent in every sense of the word.

Awesome job Katie, I kinda chuckled when I saw your pictures as I was at Dollarama yesterday and had bought 2 of the exact boards that you used. You have given me some good ideas for cutting them, thanks...

The bus and surfer pattern I found on that other forum (scroll saw village) The name on the pattern is "Creative Scrolling", the user name is Oges. We have a member with the same name and profile pic, so he might be lurking here as well.
Thanks for the comments!!

very good job.
Dedication and talent show ... Congratulations

Very nice, that gives some ideas.
-
Kate shows the way!
I haven't found any yet but will be looking at every "$" store I Pass.
Neat cuttings!!! How did you 'finish them?

I just used a spray lacquer on these. I think they have some sort of finish from the factory(oil maybe, it is a cutting board), so the surface is smooth and nice (No Sanding!!!)

Nice work, Katie. Thanks for sharing....& the ideas.
