Do you guy's/gal's make your own frames or buy them? If you buy them where do you normally get them from?

Usually make my own but have purchased them at the Dollar store as sometimes you can get a not too bad looking frame for $3.

It seems like I make frames all the time for family, friends and neighbors. I made one just last week out of old barn wood for a neighbor. It measured 24" x 30" inside for a "glued together jig saw puzzle" she has.
But, I must mention that I use a table saw and not everyone has that available to them.
I don't do much fret work anymore but, when I did, I usually made my own frames if I felt like the project really needed one.

I too make my own. That way I'm not limited to the portrait size.

Can someone tell / show me how to make frames. I usually use 8.5x11 . I used to get them at Walmart but they quit carrying them in my area. The new ones they have are glued on the back and the glue does not hold at all. I tried the dollar store and big lots and michaels but can't find what I need. I get the concept of 45 degree corners but am having a hard time with the rabbit cuts. Thanks, Mike

Go to Google and type in "Picture Frames how to build" and you'll find several sites that show how to make your own frames.

Hope this helps

I make my own frames, but then again I own a custom frame shop.

You can often find frames at thrift stores or resale shops.
