Title: Work in progress
Post by: dgman on March 17, 2011, 12:47:50 am
This is just a test fit. Nothing glued up yet. 1/4" Cherry with Maple accent. Cut with Flying Dutchman UR 1 and 3 blades. Still have to cut the top shelf, or I should say re-cut. Pattern by John Nelson in the Summer 2009 issue of ScrollSaw Woodworking & Crafts.

Great looking work Dan, if you combine a clock and a birdhouse do you have a cuckoo clock?

Very Nice Dan..can't wait to see it finished!  What kind of movement you going to use?  one of the inserts I guess?

Post by: dgman on March 21, 2011, 10:18:19 pm
Yes, just an insert. It is a 3-1/4". I used a 2-7/8 forstner bit to cut the hole for the insert.
Unfortunately, I only have the weekends to work in the shop, So it will be a few weeks till its done.
