I picked up some wide, 10" hickory 1/2 in thick today, does anyone know if this will warp if used in wordart? It just seems like it could??
Thanks Pete

I do know that it can be one of the hardest woods on blades I have come across in domestic woods, A friend of mine says it is harder than woodpecker lips!!!!!

I have cut several things from 3/4 curly hickory. Other than being a very hard wood, it cuts just fine. I have not experienced any warping of the finished pieces. Another added bonus, it smells like an outdoor BBQ smoker if you cut on it for a period of time!!
