I am in need of a replacement bulb for my Dewalt DW788 work light. Apparently, Dewalt doesn't sell replacement bulbs which is a 25Watt Type S. I was hoping someone else would have some info about a replacement that they may have used in place of this factory bulb. Any info would be appreciated. I enjoy having some light, but my wife says it isn't necessary because I am always in the dark anyway...not sure what she means by that!

Take the bulb out, take it to Walmart for comparison. They come in a two pack.

Thanks Judy, that was going to be my first stop.

I agree with Judy. You should be able to find it at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes etc. 8)

I don't know if it is the same type that are in my Hitachi or not, but if they are good luck. I can find the right size at walmart or home depot, but they really should be "rough service" type bulbs. All of the vibration from the saw can cause regular bulbs to burn out quickly. I haven't found any of the rough service type, and I can only keep a normal one lit for less then an hour of sawing. I switched to an external light source for my saw.

Thanks Russ and MrsN! I think I will try the bulbs available at Wal-Mart and see if they hold up. If I experience problems with them I will do as MrsN suggests and rig up an exterior light.

Hi Louis, Judy is correct. I just bought a 2 pack at walmart last week.

I bought a replacement bulb for my 788 at Home Depot. No problem finding it. And yes, they come in a 2 pack.
