A lot of info there Mike. Thanks.

I have gotten a clock that uses AAA batteries from Michales or JoAnn Crafts. I don't remember what size it was, and it was between $12-$20.

Wow! thanks for all the help. I will be at the computer doing follow up. Thanks again

Michael's usually has only one or two styles and they are way overpriced.
Have not looked at Joann's.

One other source for clock inserts is http://www.woodworkingparts.com/
They run around $7 and all in this size range use "N" size batteries.

I do alot of mini-clocks. I get all mine from wildwood designs out of Janesville Wis. I've had good luck with them. And really great service, too!

I have always bought mine from Sloan's Woodshop (http://www.sloanswoodshop.com/plywoods.htm) :)

I get mine from Sloan's or Wooden Teddy Bear

And the Winner is....... http://www.woodworkingparts.com/
They beat the price by $2.00 ea. and had a good selection. I bit the bullet and opted for the N battery.
Now we will see how the service is.
