The new pattern library is great.  The only problem is, I haven't figured out how to transfer the organization of the patterns to my computer.

Thanks to Frank and Steve for their dedication and commitment to community service that integrates the blog.

What a surprise...I went to look for a pattern and WOW everything was changed.  Love how it is organized as it was simple to find what I was looking for.  Thanks for the hard work, as it surely took time to set up the categories.   Best site on the web.................

Steve You did a super job in finding your new friend Frank!  Frank you did a wonderful job on the new catalog.

Not to put a damper on it but do you want us to forward dead links to any where in particular?  I just happened to run across a couple.

Like this one it is for the dog puzzle.

This is great.  My thanks to Frank for all the time and effort spent creating it, and to Steve for making it available.  Got a hunch I'm going to have more time at the saw and less wasted trying to find just the "right" pattern, LOL!

Hi guys, thanks for all the feedback. I'm working to find the broken links. We had a heck of a time getting all the new links input but we are narrowing in on the bad links. I think I will add a link in the catalog to report bad links and category suggestions.

I will pass along all the thank yous to Frank

One question:  Are there more patterns now after the redo than before?

I like how you got the library set up,the only thing is there should be something in the blank space at the beginning. Just my 2cent.
Title: Re: New pattern library
Post by: sgood on February 20, 2011, 01:26:28 pm
Karl, there might be more pictures of the patterns because we might not have them weeded out yet but there are the same number of patterns. Some patterns had a couple pictures and when we uploaded all the pix to the catalog we had to manually remove the dups.

bampasr: Are you talking about the home page where the instructions are? I'm not sure which blank space you are refering to.

Thanks for the pattern library/catalog upgrade... it is super.

(When you get to fine-tuning: there is a motorcycle pattern (born to ride) in the clock section, but it is not a clock pattern... not that it couldn't be made into a clock, but it wasn't made that way.)

Steve I think he is talking about the pattern catalog you have worked so hard on. When I open it there is a menu down the left side of the page. When you click on a page it first appears nothing has happened. You have to scroll way down to see the images that have loaded there.

@Gabby The thumbnails should start just to the right of the menu. There must be something wrong with the way it is working with different resolutions or browsers. Can you give me more details? What operating system, browser and resolution are you using if you know?

Steve I have windows xp home edition, with internet explorer 7. Page loads at 100% just as it does here, I can click on the zoom to increase size if the print is too small changing the zoom doesn't seem to affect it. But there isn't anything alongside the menu bar whether I zoom in or out. Just went back and checked to see if it is still doing it. The page loads with several photos of samples across the top of the page, and the menu running down the left side. To view further content scrolling down to the bottom of the page is required as the body of the first page is blank on my browser the instructions for viewing content and downloading is below the first page. I hope this helps. Love the page and hope you get all the bugs fixed. I hope I haven't confused you I went back and forth several times to verify whether it was loading properly for me, and made additional comments without editing content.
