made some 'designer firewood' today....

Can't hurry a project!

Should have started sooner and taken my time!

Happens to the best of us at times...

WOW...Hero members make "firewood" too. There's hope for us "newbies" yet.  :D

Always remember ... don't try to cut an intricate Rose out of walnut (1/4") when you are in a hurry!
OR 1/2" Cherry for that matter!

There is something kinda satasfying about watching the designer firewood burn. At a recent bonfire with friends I had a few pieces to burn. Everytime I threw one in my husband's buddy would fish it out to double check if I really wanted to burn it. He said he couldn't see the problem with it.

Sorry to hear it GB.  Been there, done that for sure.  I've learned that when I start pining to be finished instead of just enjoying the process, it's time to stop - either for a break or for the day.

It doesn't save every project though.  I still simply bite off more than I can chew every so often!

You old guys forget to take it slow when you get restarted again. after hibernating. You can't jump right in where you left off, like us young guys can.
Slow and easy, just like using your canes and walkers. Oh! I can't forget your toilet seat risers too. Don't want you crashing down on your overly cushioned tush! LOL!! ;D ;D ;D

second you've got to enjoy designer flames
and third you got cosy heat  8)

well cremation of some projects can give you a warm feeling  lol

show me somebody that hasnt made any firewood and ill show you a guy that fishes
(fisherman are cronic lier's)
