Where can I find a small 2 or 3 inch square to check the blade to table angle?
Thanks,
Phil

A cheap (in price) Protractor works great but you may also want to look at woodcraft or a few other sites they may have something that your looking for.
Have you tried a Big box store?

Cheap square is most likely in your wallet! Use a credit card as your square. I bought one from Sloans, and heard this tip (using a credit card)somewhat later after I bought one.

Wow Thats a great tip I'm gonna remember that.

I've used my credit card often and I am so happy they have a GOOD use!
Also have one I bought several years ago from Sloans that lays in the bottom of a drawer!

I just use a small block of wood. Cut it, then flip it over...the blade should be able to slide right into the first cut.

A credit card is a very good idea. I'm going to have to try and remember that when I need to square up the blade.
Thanks, Jim

great idea, one of the few times I can use the credit card w/o asking wife's permission ;)
-
Credit Card! What an excellent idea! However, I think mine is crooked. Can I borrow one of yours?! ;) :D

I haven't heard the credit card one before, I really like the idea.
I bought a small square at Menards, and have seen them at Lowes. I believe they are referred to as machinist squares.

I used a credit card on my saw too. Not to square the blade, mind you, but rather to cut the card into itty bitty pieces. Worked great! Now it's "pay as you go" for me.

Just bought a protractor at the Habitat Restore for 10 cents. Don't think I'll need anything else.
