You are all very welcome!  I loved this pattern. It was reworked from a pattern from the early 1900's.  I think it is simple, yet beautiful.  Enjoy it everyone!

Sheila yes thanks very much a truly wonderful old pattern design.
A wee Q, on the original patterns were they in English, or some other language.
Just wondering if they are Dutch.

Thank-you Sheila, for a great pattern--another awesome design.  The butterflies make us think of spring--you know we have had way too much snow in Ontario and Nova Scotia.  I can't wait for the green grass and flowers--and of course butterflies.  Jim

Nutwood 1/8" with oil to get the structure

The fretwork on those flowers on the sides is fragile - but so beautiful!

THANKS AGAIN Sheila!

Holy moly does that look great! I never heard of nutwood before.  It sure looks beautiful, though.  And you are correct, those little stems on the flowers are killers.  But if the grain is right, they are doable.  Thank you so much for showing us.  I am glad you liked the pattern.

Sheila :)

(http://www.torsten-harms.de/fun/g050.gif) seems like it was a bit late for me yesterday...
I shall not translate some "wood" - it was a "tree" before it got into my range

how about "walnut" - does this sound familiar ? ;D
