I didn't get a Christmas ornament and I never heard that mine was received.
Couldn't we post the pic of the ornament we made with the name to who we send it?
that way we have at least the picture..... ;)
-
Hey Marcel, I didn't receive mine either, but the one I sent did get acknowledged and was shown here. I have been waiting to contact him as I know it took three weeks to get from Southern California to Argentina.
-
I know, but as I made one there is someone who made one for me.
? mean, my secret Santa cant help it that the "post people" or customs didn't deliver it.....(I guess they had great ornaments in the tree ::) )
due to the fact that I didn't get mine, I didn't thank him/her.
I know that we all can send a personal email, but I would like to thank my secret Santa on this forum.
most of us had worked a couple of hours on it so, everyone should get credit for the ornament(s) made.
and maybe I will brag a little on the one I made 8)

Marcel, Why don't you send them a PM and inform them that you did not receive yours and you are concerned that they may have not have received yours.
I am going to send a PM to my guy to let him know I did not receive mine.
-
My take on the 'not receiving' is this....
Some folks sign up for things and just plain can't or don't follow through for whatever reasons, health, workload, etc.
However, I feel that most would at least let you know that they had failed to follow through.

Dan, do I understand it well, that the person I made the ornament foris the same person who made the ornament for me?
in that case I could send him a PM or email.
-
Yes Marcel, The person you sent to should have sent you one.
-
I did receive mine but due to my pc troubles did not get to see wether mine was received. So this makes me think maybe I should send them a belated pm too.
Thanks for reminding me Marcel.
David.

I sent a PM to my recipient and he replied that he sent it out late. It took over three weeks for mine to get to Argentina. Yesterday the postman tried to deliver a package! I will go to the post office today and pick it up! I will post a picture later!

Hi Dan
The Christmas pieces that I have sent to you and other people this year are very simple, I cannot obtain wood with these thicknesses so small as those that you were sending to me, and also here in Argentina I do not take access to so many literature as you they have there in the United States.
In the last days I search in any P2P program?s and find a lot of nice literatur and Patterns from Fox Chapel Publishing and from P. Spielman and other?s
So sorry
Best Regards
Roberto

Well, I got my package from Argentina! Roberto, AKA JUANCRUZ sent five very nice Christmas ornaments. A little late but very welcome, Thank you Roberto!

I was not part of this participation because I was away when it started but will be in for this coming festive season, possibly the reason some of the ornaments were not received was because of the way they were declared, most countries like NZ and OZ will not accept anything wood through the customs systems, when sending they should be declared as Christmas deco's. or ornaments and then there is not normally a problem, but mention wood and the almighty hits the fan

I think there are allot of countries that will not accept anything wood through the customs, or it is a hassle getting it approved. We might need to take that into consideration when we do it next year. 8)
