We are OK where we are but there are parts of the country not fairing so well, but we are not as bad as it is in OZ's northern territories where they have evacuated an entire city because of flooding.
Thanks for you concern and I hope all is well State side

Were those 'normal' spring rains or was there a special set of conditions that caused all that precip.?

In OZ it is the tropical rains but not normally that bad and it is in the northern regions as a rule, in NZ it unusual  to get such heavy down pours at this time of year but the world is upside down at present, where I am in central NZ we are having a most unusual dry spell and warm with it,which I am enjoying, this may lead us into a warm summer

Ya ok here guys, a little farther up the island than Jimbo, no rain, no wind hell the sun is hot as hell.
Got up this morning to feed the hens and the temp inside the house was 21C-72F or so.
Sitting here typing this sweating like hell, now going out side to sit in the shade.
