I have a close friend with a band that plays big band music every New Years usually a hotel/dance combination, We usually go where he is playing but because of icy, crappy weather we are staying in and cooking up a prime rib roast, maybe a martini before and a nice glass of Pinot Noir to wash it down. Happy New Years all!!! Pete

Going to 'lady friend's' place...making a nice dinner, shrimp, scallop, clam fettuccini and then play on the Wii and try to stay awake until the New Year....
Hope everyone has a nice time and stays safe!
Happy New Year to ALL ! ! !

Hey Russ, Sorry to hear about your wife. Glad she is home for New Years!
As for us, my 17 year old son is having his buddies over for a sleep over, so we will be feeding eight teenagers dinner and breakfast!

Glass of wine, some interesting cheese and crackers. Not being a night owl and in the central time zone, think I will celebrate with Times Square, go to bed. Then wake up a midnight with nuts firing off guns and M-80s.

Working the 4pm to 2 am shift.
I can't find the words to describe how bad the weather and road conditions were tonight. I have never seen anything like this....I took a few pics when it was really blowing and snowing...
Almost got hit head-on 2 times while responding to calls and just missed getting rear-ended while helping someone stuck in the ditch. Fastest I went tonight was 20 mph. It was a 'white-out' in the city for a while tonight. Couldn't see from one street light to the next....
Hello 2011!!!!
Have a safe Holiday everyone....now I know why I love sitting behind the scroll saw, more than sitting behind the wheel of that squad car.

Wow Chris, sounds like you had an exciting New Years eve night. Glad you are safe. The pictures say it all. :)

We are spending the time moving one workshop to another. Jaun finally figured a way to move the 900 pound planer without a fork lift. Was not easy, but its done now. I have to clean the surface, and will be ready to roll once again.
Happy New Year All

Chris. You just keep that weather up north. It was 60 degrees here. Russ, glad to here your wifes out of the hospital. Worked on my new work bench. Drank a couple of brews. Watched the ball drop & went to bed! We stay home for New Years. To think about it, we stay home all the time! We usually have the grandkids, but this year it was just me & Chris. So Happy New Year everybody. P.S. As Cherie would say, "Make some saw dust"!
