How come when I make a post, it takes me back out to all the topics? I want to stay in the topics I was in. Is there a way to change this?
-
Yeas that's driving me crazy also. I'll add that to the list of things to check. Thanks.

Take a look at the "Additional Options" check boxes on the reply screen...Does the one that's labeled, "Return to this topic" perform that function???
-
I checked that box, and it did bring me right back to the post I was reading.
-
If I left the box unchecked, I was taken back to the list of posts.

Where do you find "Additional Options"?
In my Profile "Look and Layout" there's a box that says: "Return to topics after posting by default"
This isn't checked so I'm not sure why it's going back to topics.

When you click "Reply", or "New Post", the page pops-up that lets you type your message...Down toward the bottom of the page (lower left-hand corner), there is "Additional Options written in yellow...Click on it...Some other stuff will pop-up under it, including the ability to attach a file...They are additional options related to the message you are typing... Important: you need to make these selections before clicking on "Post".

Ripchief is right it works.
Thanks, Dan

Hi have searched the admin setting and there is not a global setting to change this behavior. Looks like the only option is to use the additional options method below the reply.
-
OK... I guess I'll just have to click it every time. Thanks for your help!
I wonder though... what the option of "Lock this topic" is.
-
I think I figured it out...
You have to put a check in the box in front of "Return to topics after posting by default".
The way it sounds you would think it would do the opposite if you check it. But when I checked it and then I posted in a topic, it stayed in that particular topic.... so that's it.
;D
