I finished 4 Peace On Earth plaques by Sue Mey for Christmass presents. Now I can start on MY projects.

Wonderful presents!

I just cannot bring myself to get into 'painting' things.
A. I love the look and feel of wood.
B. Space constraints and mess!

But they sure do look nice!
maybe someday I'll get in the mood to wield the brush and spray can.

The backers are MDF, so I had to paint them. I finnaly found a way to seal the edges of MDF so that it will take paint. Paint the edges with 2 coats of household latex primer, I used KILZ because I had it. After 2 coats you can sand and paint over it.

You can thin Elmers Wood Glue with a small amount of water. Paint the edges of MDF with the mix to seal it. I have used it for years.  8)
