i no this has nothing to do with scrolling but i just needed to talk..yesterday when i was at work my dog broke his chain and of course ran in the woods and found a porcupine to play with well that didnt go so good when the boyfriend got home he found my dog laying on the porch covered with quills..he called me at work to tellme. icalled around looking for a vet the closes one was an hour away.so i left work and had to get my mom to drive for me because i was to upset.it took three of them 3 hours and a pretty penny to clean him up so far he is ok just got to watch for infection. so any one on my xmas list who doesnt receive a gift is getting a thankyou note from my dog.there must of been one cold bald porcupine in the woods last nite..today my dog is getting a new chain, collar and heavy duty snap merry xmas to him..

Ouch! (for both of you) Sorry to hear about that Michelle. My German Shepard is the same way. If he found an animal, he wouldn't have the good sense to leave it alone, no matter the cost to him. Hopefully all will go well and there won't be any infections. Never seen a porcupine around here, but we have our share of rattlesnakes and other creatures.
Thanks again for the lovely ornaments!

Sorry to hear about your pooch, porcupines can be nasty, especially when the dog bites him. But the brighter side is, it could have been a skunk.

Quills are nasty things. I hope the dog is better and smarter.

I seriously doubt the pooch will 'tangle' with a porcupine again!
Keep him warm and safe!

When I was about 12, we had a dog named Dawg who loved to tangle with porcupines. He didn't learn from his mistakes and it didn't end well.
My best wishes for you and your four-footed friend.

Some dogs never learn. Some people don`t either.

I am glad to hear he survived his prickly situation. Hope he has a speedy recovery. :)
