I was amazed myself at what I can accomplish now that I have FINALLY acquired the gift of PATIENCE!

Too many years of trying to get things done on other's schedules!

GB, the finish is fabulous. A very rewarding project, and I hope you signed your name and dated it under the table somewhere.

Leaf...I decided to just take a piece or 3/4" birch plywood, stain to match and use that. Seldom used and when it is we have it covered by a table cloth so it doesn't have to match perfectly. The thickness is close enough that there is no problem fit.We use a piece of felt-backed vinyl tablecloth under the regular tablecloth as a pad so it all works fine.
