One o' THEM Days!
I felt like Jesus performing miracles! Except everything I 'touched' turned to CRAP!
Finally gave up and sat there sorting patterns and putting them with the wood to cut another time!
Bah! HumBug!

I have had days like that. I just close shop. Safe for me and the shop. There are days I can't cut stright even on a Table Saw.
-
Those who sort and walk away, live to saw another day.

Awww!!! We all have our poopie days! Don't give up. It is good you knew 'when to say when'! Tomorrow is another day and you will do much better. :D

Been there ...done that. Some days it just don't pay to get up in the morning. But just think how neat your patterns are now.
-
That's when I sit back and say "it's Miller time!".
-
Some nice Cabernet, dinner and a shower and I feel almost human again!
Will give it another go tomorrow until I have to leave for meetings.
Thanks for the 'shoulders' folks!!!

GB.....I am giving you a strictly hetro internet hug.
-
Hey GB, at least you knew when to walk away, I have ruined a few projects, before by not willing to give it up. Tomorrow you will go out and everything will be fine.
Mark

No Mark! I got burned too!
After the second one went into the 'kindling bucket' is when I decided to get away from the saw!
And the ones I didn't pitch are still laying there with a sticky note on them and it has a big Question Mark on it. Will evaluate them in the morning.
Thanks Lord, for not letting me try to cut my "Gift Ornament" today!

Been there, done that, GB. Probably everyone has. It's so frustrating.
But then you also have those days when it just seems like you can't do anything wrong. Now, those are sweet. You should be due for one of those now that you've endured a day like you had today. :)
-
Sounds like my yesterday.....Big Man Hug!
-
Well after re-evaluation the ones marked with the "?" were not so bad after all.
Taking the day off from the shop and will get back at it tomorrow.
I know those days 'happen'' but it sure is nice to have friends who share the 'pain'!
Thanks to You All!

GB,
we cant live on the top of the hill every day. looking at the reactions you see that we all have that day's.
so, all though you now walk through the valley of the shadow,
take a walk (literally) to some green pastures or perhaps you should rest a wile beside still waters.
and goodness and mercy shall follow.
and you'll see, before you know you're making the nicest things again with joy!

The best thing about the saw is when you have an oopsy it does not get up and bite you like the lathe I had a big piece come off one time and hit me in the kisser, stunned but not out I picked it up off the floor and put it back on the lathe and showed it who was the boss, didn't let on my nose hurt like hell.
I make sure everything is tight before I start up now.
SO GB don't feel too bad

Good for you JIMBO ;D You show that machine who is BOSS!! Sorry you got a smack but your story gave me my morniong chuckle.
-
GB. Did that not long ago. The tablesaw didn't like me anymore. Kicked-back a piece of wood, hit me in the guts. Then about an hour later, I ran a wood chisel into my knuckle. I decided it was time to quit for the day! Dave 8)
