Title: Restoration attempt
Post by: Dawie on October 25, 2010, 12:07:54 am
A friend of mine asked me to try and fix a miniture rocking horse for him. He lost the tail so I had to improvise on that one. Here are the before and after pics.

Don't you all love to take something that someone treasures and then return it to them back to the way they remember it!

That is a great thing to do David!

GB that is one thing I love to make others happy, that makes me feel great. He was absolutely thrilled when I gave it to him on sunday, he went off and showed it off to all his friends and family. It now sits proudly on the piano in our common room at church. Then I think to myself this is why I love working with wood, the joy it brings me and others. Earning a buck now and again is a bonus, but the shear joy of it is most important.

David, what a great job, and a nice thing to do. I also enjoy repairing things for friends. They are thrilled to have it repaired and I get the enjoyment from seeing there satisfaction.
