This is a dragon shelf I made for my son's room. The dragons are made from Padauk, and the top is Wenge. Pattern by Dirk Boelman.

Really like that pattern and your work. Must get that pattern!!

Hey Pat, The pattern is in an old issue of Creative Woodworks & Crafts, but I don't remember which issue it was. If I find it I will let you know.

OK, I found the pattern. It is in the August 2002 issue of Creative Woodworks & Crafts, By Dirk Boelman. I looked on his web site, but did not find the pattern there. You might contact him at www.theartfactory.com to see if it is available. The name of the pattern is Dragon Wall Shelf.

yeah, Their not cheap here either! The wenge was a 3x3" turning square that I ripped, planed and glued up to make the blank for the top. It was giving to me as scrap. The padauk was left over from another project.
