I have been learning coral draw along with Steve's help.
These are cut from 1/8 baltic birch and dyed with food coloring.
I am ready for every grandma in ND to want her grand kid's names on her tree ;D

Looking real good. Keep up the good work.

Good job Judy! I guess I need to get a copy of coral Draw!
-
I think you can put that in the past tense, Judy. You've learned ornaments!
Did you find any warping when you dyed them? And how does the food coloring dye work anyway? Do you mix it with water (my assumption) or do you do something else?
-
I like them lots Judy! The colors and shape...cool idea!
-
Thanks guys :D
Julie, Boxmaker..I mixed two of those little cheapie bottles of food coloring with about 1/2 cup of water. No warping.
I just put the water in sealed containers and let them soak just turned them over once in a ehile since the wood floats. couple hours in the water then pick them out with a toothpick and press the water out with paper towel, dry over night.
If anyone wants a few names just let me know and I will email it, if that is ok with Steve?

really nice ornaments Judy!
so colorfull. I like the green/red combi very much!

Judy....those are nice. I like the colors and especialy the shape of the ornament. I also use corel draw, do you think you can send me copy of the pattern and i can put my own names it. I think you can just send it in the corel format and it will open up in my corel. I think thats how it works. Thank you so much if you can do this.
Oh my email is georgenava@comcast.net
Thanks

Sure I will try to figure out how to do that in the morning. Hot date tonight ;D
I hope I didn't mislead anyone into thinking I would actually charge anything for a few names????
-
Judy, it's fine with me for sure. My whole blog is dedicated to getting people to use the scroll saw to make fun and money. If you want to post a message offering to make the ornaments here on the forum I have no problem with that at all. I would love to see things like that happen.

Ok great, thanks Steve. So if someone wants some names in the oval format. Just email me and I will email them back to you.

Judy
Great work. I really like the shape you came up with. The names seem to stand out more than in the round shape.
Thanks for sharing
