Title: Box
Post by: sp_343 on October 04, 2010, 02:07:46 pm
Made from Oak and Walnut.  Lined it with some Suede Tex flocking.  My wife will use it to store her "keepsakes" from her nursing career.  Our kids will enjoy it as they get older and see the things that their Mom did when she was younger.

Beautimous!
Wish I could see it in person, the grain contrasts must be striking!

That is really a nice Box Sp. Did you fasten the ends with screws then plug the holes, and is the other side the same look. I love the contrasting woods.

Thank you to everyone!

Hey Mark (boxmaker):  I screwed in the ends into the sides and pluged them with some oak wood plugs.  I was going to do the sides into the ends, but the box is only about 4" tall so I didn't have alot of room for the screws going the other way.

I got the pattern from here: http://www.woodworkingcorner.com/box.php

Made a few adjustments for my own needs.
