It is made from 20 year old Cherry. These boards were rough cut and stacked in a shed till Saturday.

Good job , I've found out that the glue up was more trouble than the cutting and finishing part to me ..........

It was my first attempt with it has many mistakes and I broke the smallest ring when sanding. When gluing I did not notice I was off center until it was set up. Although no one else can see it all I can see is it is not symmetrical.
My daughter saw it and loves it. She told me she would be happy to have my test project.
