Hi, everyone. I wanted to post this new candle tray that I designed. It is a cross candle tray and charm set for your large jar patterns. I have a couple of more that I am working on too so watch for them in the future.
Thanks so much, Sheila :)

Sheila, You have my mind working overtime now, these are great........Paul ;D

Thank you very much, Paul. I have six others right now and I am making about 40 more different designs. :) They are really fun and easy to do and it seems that they are quite popular. Stay tuned . . . .

I saw this on your site. Was wandering how long does it take for you to cut this one out. I like the cross one and the fall themed ones.Bobby

awesome design, i love it !!.

I don't aim for speed, but most of the candle holders take me about 3 hours to cut. I go at a nice medium pace and I drill all the holes first and put on some music and enjoy!

Those are cool Sheila! So, What kind of music do you listen to when scrolling!
-
I am goofy. I can listen to anything from Mozart to Tech N9ne or Eric Clapton, Elton, Apolyptca, or even Eminem. I really love all kinds of music - rap, blues, rock, classical. It all depends on my mood!
I love the soundtrack from the Blue's Brother's movie and other soundtracks too! :)
Music really makes the projects more fun!

This one is so beautiful, Sheila. I can't wait to see the rest. For me, it's talk radio or country.

very nice design and scroll work sheila,
what kind of wood did you used here?
-
This set is made out of Mahogany. I really love the way it looked after I finished it. Lately, one of my favorite finishes is applying mineral oil with a brush and allowing it to soak in a bit. I then gently rub it into the surface with 600 grit sandpaper and wipe off the excess. I do this in several coats. After allowing it to dry a bit, I give it a couple of light coats of spray shellac. Since these don't need to have a super-durable finish, it works really nice. The oil really brings out the beautiful colors in the wood and leave it with a nice sheen. I like the spray shellac because it covers so evenly and also leaves a warm glow to the wood. I am glad you like it. :)
