I guess my eyesight is not what it used to be, I would like to get one of the clamp on lighted magnifiers, but am not sure which power to get or which brand to get, or even where to get one. I know I need one, because the lines just are not as clear lately as they used to be. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks Mark

Hey Mark, This is the one I have. Works great and stays where I need it.

I purchased mine from Harbor Freight Tools about a year ago. Works great. 8)

Looks like what I am interested in...The cheap ones don't stay where you place them very well.

I need to get me one of those.

I have one lamp like that to and it works well.
had to get used to this way of working becaus when you look beside the lamp your eyes have to adjust. when changing quick I get a bit "dizzy".
I don't like looking through it for a long time so I only use it for very small work.
In stead I bought me some $2 reading glasses in +2 and +3 (depending on the distance to the object) this mangnifies enough for me.

i use a visor magnifier (jewelers magnifier), and got mine on ebay. not sure this is what youre looking for, but this type seems to work for me.

I bought the lighted magnifier for about $60, but had trouble keeping it in place and it bothered me to move my head or look elsewhere, so I bought the jewelers headband with about three magnifier lenses. I really like the headband. Band is adjustable, I can just tilt the lenses up when not needed without taking it off and it fits over my glasses.

I was wondering if the headband magnifier would work for scroll saw application. Thanks for posting about it. The loop seems like it would be more confining to me.

Thanks for all the responses. I have been having a hard time getting on the site again lately. I wasn't even sure if this posted last night.
Thanks again Mark

Just wanted to say sometimes the most expensive is not always better. I purchased mine from Harbor Freight Tools about a year ago. It clamps on, stays where I put it, still has the original bulb, cost me $29.00. I would buy one again if and when this one breaks. 8)
