I built mine about ten years ago and it is just like that. I not sure where I got the plans. That is a pretty standard wood workers bench. If you ever use one you will wonder how you ever did without it.  :D

That was one of my first woodworking projects about 15 years ago. My bench is very similar to the one shown. The base is constructed of 2x4's, and the top is three layers of 3/4" birch plywood.
