As some of you might have read in another thread, my Proxxon bottom clamp gave up on me as far as pinless blades where going. A new one can take up to 2 weeks to get here. So I thought I have seen 3 Hegner clamps at the center I go and seeing that the Hegner is no more. I took the clamps home, had abit of a think and mounted one this morning, it just fitted, but it works. I can now try my new blades! I will heve to change clamps when I want to use pinned blades again, but this is better than not being able to use the type of blade I want when I want to. I think I am quite clever :P.

What you did is called "Pragmatic Engineering"!
If it works, It must have been meant to be!

Amazing. Can you post some pictures of how Hegner clamp fits on the proxxon arms.
I would like to do the same with my cheap scroll saw and it seems (looking at web pictures) that my saw has an arm similar to proxxon.
If you can post pictures it will be easier for me to check if I can do the same.
Ciao.

Hi Dragolin,
Tried to take some pictures of both arms, but somehow did not get the lighting right for the bottom arm on which I put the Hegner Clamp, it all blurs up so You can not see anything. Just took a photo of the top arm, but did not put the Hegner clamp on it. What I did at the bottom was to put the screw that hold the original clamp through the hole on the Hegner clamp and mounted it horizontally instead of the vertical mount for the Hegner as I said in my PM it just about holds the blade and it pulls out quite frequently, but it makes do untill I get my new clamp which might take a bit longer than was first said, so hold thumbs for me that I get it soon.
Here is the picture of the top arm don't know if it is of any use to you.
