Title: liquor, liqueur - just plain yummy

Help, I was given a gift from some recent German guests of a long skinny bottle containing a clear liquid what I thought was wine. some time after they left we decided to open the "wine".  Pheweeeee, it ain't wine.  Maybe someone here can help tell me what it is.  The bottle label says "HEIDENER TEUFELS-TROPFEN"
below this it says," Williams Christ Birne Mit Weizenkorn" my friends are from Heiden, Germany and it tastes like a vodka or shnapps, there are also two pears on the label, so maybe Pear shnapps? It has a very nice ahhhh "kick" to it.
Please help cuz I really like to know what I'm gettin' looped on.

It means devil-drops from Heiden.
Heiden means pagan.
its made out of pears and wheat grain.

After doing some more research on it it is a type of pear brandy. If you get tired of drinking it you can send it my way. LOL

well if anyone knew I giggered you guys would! About (hic-up) sharing some (hic-up) with you, come on over, I'm in Wi south of LaCrosse, it's in the fridge.
Marcellarius, that's the bottle, I assume it is made in Heiden? We're going over in two yrs. ahhh - think I'll bring some back!

I just saw on google maps that Heiden is about 62 miles from me, just over the german border.
After the vacation I will go there somtime and get me a bottle just to try :D

Marcellarius - MUSIKKAPELLA HEIDEN is a great bunch of musicians if you ever get a chance to hear them don't miss it, 65 members of the band and some friends were in our community for a visit in mid-July, great time, they do know how to party!!
