Title: Pegas #2
Post by: bobphcs on March 24, 2020, 10:44:57 am
My Pegas #2 blades snap as soon as I try and put any tension on.  I don't even get a chance to start a cut.  I am using a Pegas saw, so easing the tension is very difficult and time consuming.  I've even bought new blades in hope that I had a bad batch: no.  My #1s and #3s are not a problem and work perfectly. What could be my issue?  I think I will buy some Olson or Dutchman blades to see if it is me or the blade.

Any suggestions?

Years ago I had a 3 dozen batch of blades thqat didn't perform as usual.  Turned out that the blades were defective.  The manufacturer replaced the bles.  I had no further problems.  The point is that no manufacturer is immune to putting out a faulty product, but by and large they own up to their mistake and make good on replacing the blades.  Could it be, this is your situation?  Worth a call to find out.
