Title: Adhesives
Post by: dwightsiers on May 06, 2019, 11:40:35 am
What is the best method for attaching a backing to the scroll saw cut out?  Up to this point I have not bothered with backings, but would like to try.

Thanks in advance,
Dwight

I sparingly use glue.  My favorite is Welbond.  Dries quickly and clearly.  Was recomended by Carole Rathburn for doing bowls but I use on all my scroll project.

I spot glue using accordion glue bottles.  Little dabs all over the place and down the edges.

I get the accordion at http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=20004&cat=1,110,42967 (http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=20004&cat=1,110,42967)

Depending on piece I will clamp or add weight
