Retired now. I have been a carpenter for many years and a woodworker just as long but a scrollsawer only a few months. I would like to think if my high school woodshop teacher was still alive to see my work now he would be amazed. That said, I am not nearly as talented or proficient at scroll sawing as most of those here but it certainly does not stop me.
Using Dewalt DW788 Here is a picture of todays work.

Nice looking pieces. Your past experience as a carpenter and woodworker will give you tremendous insight into projects with a scroll saw. You should pick up the skill sets and techniques for the saw much quicker than most of us. There are quite a lot of good videos on youtube by scrollers. Enjoy!

Thanks Judy, as for the name. Years ago I was out in my shop when ny daughter had frieds over and they asked where her dad was. She answered, "Where he usally is, lost in the woods." She was in elementary school at the time and it stuck. She went on to graduate from the University of Alabama with a minor in creative writing. :)

Welcome, Mr. Lost in the Woods, I live in Nipawin, Saskatchewan,Canada about 31/2 days drive North from Alabama. Your sample of your work is excellent cutting. I also have a DW88 saw that is starting to show it's age and am considering to buy a new one but my DW88 Type 1 is like an old glove that fits so comfortable.
