Title: collapsable basket
Post by: yyyyyguy on July 28, 2010, 10:01:44 pm
I enlarged a pattern to 130%, anyone do enough of these to know how to decide what angle to tilt the blade, the original was a 4 1/2" oval now it's about 8 1/4" I know I could use a piece of scrap but as you all well know there is no such thing as "scrap wood" at least not in my hovel of a shop

hmmmm...... I'd think..... the angle would stay the same? Really tho..... no getting around that scrap wood trial if you want to be sure!

I do have a question about those baskets tho..... I made 3 so far, but have terrible trouble with the tilting of the basket.... there's a LOT of sanding I have to do before there is enough room to do that.
Does anyone else have that problem or am I doing something wrong?

thanks it ended up being 3 1/2 degrees, i took a semi calculated guess - about the tilting, i automatically disc sand the outer rim of the basket and that works pretty well
