So I tried my hand at a clock, pine on a cedar stand, with felt on the bottom.
Anyone got any tips on cutting felt in straight lines, and without any fuzzies??
I worked it out obviously, but there has to be an easier way.

It helps to use really sharp scissors. I have raided the sewing room for scissors but you best be careful as they don't appreciate anyone using their scissors.

I avoid the problem all together by using those little self stick felt pads. ;)

I always use a sharp utility knife on back of my portraits, works for me. edward

Instead of felt on the bottom I have recently been using cork. I make napkin holders and coasters.
I got it at Hobby Lobby. The sheet was 12 x 24 and I think 3/32 thick. I think it was only a couple of dollars with the coupon.
Cut with exacto knife for a nice clean edge.

Thanks to all for the suggestions

You could also try masking and flocking the surface.
