I have recently been asked to make some coasters with that scripture on it.
Any ideas on how to do this with the scroll saw?
Thank you.

Do you want just "Psalm 34:4" on it or the entire scripture? The entire Psalm would be a lot of lettering!
I assume you would want the shorter version and it could just be cut out of the coaster and left with open letters but, you also could do some inlay.
I would print it out on the computer....Psalm
34:4 and apply it to the coaster and cut it out.
If you scroll down to "Tips, Tricks and Tutorials" there are some posts on cutting out letters and some on doing inlay that might help you out a bit.

For example.

Good question I should have clarified. She wants the entire written scripture on it which is long for a coaster. May not be possible. It would be way easier to just put Psalm 34:4 on it for sure

You might consider this cheating, but:
Make the wooden coasters on your Scrollsaw, then take them to someone that does laser engraving to add the scripture. If you have a Woodcraft in your area, many have the ability.

Have you thought of spreading the psalm over 2 or 3 coasters?
Dave.
