A few days ago Steve posted a pattern for a flower cat.
Perfect pattern for my Grandkids (9&7) to cut and paint. They visited today and I had them do everything. I act as the hold down and partially guide when they scroll but they know how to affix patterns etc.
This pattern works great as if they miss the line by much who cares and if a big bump I have them fix on the sander.
It keeps them busy for quite some time and they love taking home something that they have done.
Thanks Steve

They look proud and rightly so. You have them off to a good start. Thanks for pics Don. :) Cheers Brian

Hi Don, and well done on teaching your Grand daughters on how to scroll. let them know, they have done a fine job and I can see why they are proud to take home their finished pieces.

Just love to see this, Makes me so happy when my granddaughter wants to use my scroll saw.
( a good project is to get a clip art of a apple .. cut it out as a puzzle, have a piece for each
child in their class.. then let them take the apple and have each student sign their piece. then we varnished it.
and the teacher just loved it. that was about 6 years ago. and the teacher still displays in the class room)

Lorace - thanks for the idea. I am always looking for ideas for the kids especially when it can act as a school project.
I will give this a try.
Thanks for all the comments.
