Title: walking cane

Does Steve have a pattern for a walking cane? I once heard of a walking cane with a hand saw for a grip and another with a pistol for a grip but did not see the pattern. I want to make the cane for the primary purpose to carry with me when I am jogging to fend off dogs that like to run after a moving target. Currently I carry a bat.

On my daily walk, I pass a guy who carrys a putter for the same purpose.  It's probably a little lighter and better balanced than a BB bat.  Of course a nine iron will work too but it might leave a divot!!
