Here is my first sled. Wood is Paduck for the body and Maple for the runners. I still have 8 more to cut, but the lady I bought the maple from did not sell me enough for all the runners. I could only get four sets from the piece she sold me.

Hey Cherie, That looks awesome! I think I am going to do a bunch of those as Christmas gifts this year!

Did you stack cut these? I cut out about four sets of these a couple years ago. They are good sellers. Good Job

Very cute! How do you hang it?

That really looks nice Cherie. I made about 30 of them a couple years ago and they really make nice gifts. I used both red and white ribbon for the pull rope and then used that to hang them with. I still have about 6 for my tree. As a variation you can scroll names in the back too.

That is nice Cheri. Guess I am going to have to do a few myself. Thanjs for the idea. Bobby

I forgot to mention that the pattern is by Shelia Landry. I did not stack cut, the Paduck is 1/4 thick and the runners are 1/8 thick.

Nice work cherie! I have used this pattern for a few years all members of the family have one. For friends I have cut their initials. I use poplar (top) and 1/8" BB runners, use brass colored wire, paint the runners and add gliter to the runners. Lots of variations so none are quite the same. I do not stack cut the tops, but do stack cut the runners per sled.
