Title: Hideeho from central Florida

I am new to scrolling. I have been in woodworking for several years and when the husband of a friend of my wife passed I was asked if I would be interested in some of his tools. I went over and and saw a lot small tool and a few woodworking tools to include a Ridgid 1650 Scroll Saw so a asked what she would need for the stuff I was interested in. She told me to just take it all. I took it and as I was leaving, not feeling right getting all this for free, I left a donation on the counter for her to find later.  She was a little upset but my wife told her I would be angry if she gave it back.

So now I set up the scroll saw and having never used one before I am here to observe and learn.

Welcome to the forum Norm.  I'm Al from TN.  Beware! Scroll sawing is very addictive. :) :) You have come to the right place because there is a lot of very talented and helpful members here.  All you have to do is ask and the answer will be there quickly.

Hi, Norm.  I miss that show, glad to have you join us.  I am Paul from Washington state.  I have been woodworking for many years, scroll only to support other projects.  Last year I decided to to take scrolling serious.  I love it and the other woodworking sits and waits.  It is very relaxing to me and well I don't know why, I love it.  Hope to see some of your work soon.

Thanks all for the welcome.  Sure is nice to see a friendly bunch willing to help.  I'm sure I'll have a bunch of questions as time goes by.
