I have been scrolling for about 6 months now and was wondering about a pattern for portraits. I am not real good on the computer and was wondering if there is software that can convert a picture to a pattern or if there is a business that would do that.

Hi Mr. 01229. Wanted to welcome you to the forum. Glad to have you join us.
All I know about pattern making for portraits is a lot of people use Gimp, a free download. There tutorial on the internet and videos on youtube on how. I have it and I have successfully made one pattern that was usable. It can be time consuming but is fun to play with. There a some commercial softwares that are probably easier. The experts will chime in here I am sure.

I attached my method using GIMP and Inkscape. It takes some practice - the best way is probably to look for others to post a request for a pattern, then try to render a pattern from their photo. That gives you a chance to compare your results to what others did with it. A part of the work is deciding what to actually convert - it's often better to crop the photo to a smaller image that highlights a face, or to bring 2 faces closer together for the pattern.
I hope the attachment holds - they have been hit-or-miss lately.
