I got into scrollsaw work shortly after my dad even though I didn't know at the time he was doing it to. I am a licensed gunsmith and started using my sears scroll saw with a 3 inch blade to make my gun stocks and carvings in the sides of the stock. I am planning on upgrading my scroll saw with my dad's old one. I also make custom wooden practice swords for different groups. I also am working on learning more about blacksmithing as well and incorporating that into my scroll work and gunsmithing. Right now my shop is in the spare bedroom of my apartment. I have to share the room with a bunch of storage so my space is very limited and when you add my 4ft square table, a small paint/stain booth and my router table you loose a lot of space.

Welcome, Terry. Blacksmithing, scrolling and gunsmithing all sound very interesting to me. Anxious to see some of your work. When you say you have a scrollsaw with a three inch blade, are you talking a hand held jig saw or do they make a scroll saw with a 3" blade?
Glad you found us. I'm Paul from the state of Washington.

Welcome Terry, I grew up in Flint and I still have my 3" Dremel scrollsaw, which served me well for a couple years; even has a small disk sander on it. I tried giving it away a couple times, but no one wanted it. LOL
Lots of good people here that will answer any questions you may have.
