I reiterate my question.
I had a friend of me asked if possible to make a portrait of her daughter.

This picture is very small and the grains split when enlarging, it is difficult to work on it>

I thought I would give it a try and spent a hour or so yesterday playing around with it. Sorry, but I couldn't get a nice pattern with it. In my case, it is not the pictures fault, it is me not being good, yet, at pattern making.
-
Thanks Paul for tryi'n.
Have agood day!
-
To pattern maker,
Really nobody can help me?
-
Pierre
Sorry even the copy that you e mailed to me is poor
it is either a poor quality original or a low resolution scan, if its the scan then do a re scan at high res and mail it again (as big as you can)
Dave

Sorry I would try a pattern for you as well but the picture is hard to work with.
-
Good day !
I try to resize the photo at 600 ppp, so that take 55mo.
I can compress it and send you by email, if somebody interesting.
-
The problem is the pixelation of the area around the mouth and eyes especially. If you can get us a clearer picture it would really help.

Pierre,
I don't think you understand. That picture is too pixelated/grainy (very low resolution) to make a pattern out of it. It doesn't matter if you change the size of the picture, because of the very low resolution it will not help. Resolution and size are two separate terms.
Sorry but it makes it to hard to make a pattern out of a picture with such very low resolution.
Can you re-scan the picture at a higher resolution as suggested.
-
Ok Russ thanks for the information.
I rescan the picture, but i can't send it by the forum take 15 mb. Only think i can do is send it by email,
Have a good day,

Pierre
Sorry I have now got your 15mb file of which was scanned at 600 dpi, and yes I can now zoom in on it without pixelation, but I am afraid its now clear to see that the problem is with the original picture, it is far to grainy to do anything with I am afraid.
