Well Dad's really on the mend and getting over his stroke. It's still going to take a very long time for him to reach the 95% recovery the doctors are hoping for, but he is recovering fast. He even picked up his paint brushes and started doing his oil paintings again - they arent up to his usual standard, but they are turning out quite well - he even took one in as a present for his speech therapist, she was highly impressed by the standard of it. So now I'm getting a little more free time I should be able to show my ugly face in here again - and cure my withdrawal symptoms from not being able to get in here. I'm looking forward to catching up with all thats gone on here, and putting that Scottish Hoss Thief Rob back in his place (I bet he thought Christmas had come early as I haven't been about here to throw insults at him) Although I must admit I did have some nice emails from Rob, Marg and some others checking up on how I was and asking after my dad's health too. When all's said and done, I think I got it perfectly correct when I said this is my second family here - and what a fantastic family it is too.

Keefie,
Welcome back and I am so happy that your Dad is on the mend, I know it will be a slow road to recovery but with a little patience and time he will improve. I had a stroke 3 years ago and am fortunate to have recovered with very minimal disability. I cannot do all the things I was capable of doing in the past but I am grateful for what I am able to accomplish. Tell your Dad to keep a positive attitude and He will turn things around. I can see that He is a fighter as He is already painting pictures I will keep him in my prayers.
